Official student of Games Media Studies!

After the pass few months, I am now a student of the Games Media studies class! Hooray!

But now the assignments are different. We are to create game credits and game title screens. I requested from my lecturer to work solo as I have another game up and running in need of those two requirements. And now that we have our game chosen and ready to work on, I have a couple of ideas streaming in for the game.

But perhaps a little bit of explanation is needed. I am the lead designer and leader for Team Apple Pie. We are to make a 3D Room Escape game. The theme of the game would be horror.

I have already run the ideas through my team mates, and they are quite happy with it. After some discussion, we have all agreed on which one to use unless I come up with a better one or the lecture has some advice to give.

Game Credits
Similar to this. But the difference is that the picture will be the picture of our group (This is based on our story line) in a shattered/broken photo frame. The bottom right of the picture towards the bottom right of the screen will be covered in blood. As in the picture above, the credits will fade in and out in a smoky feel on the top right of the screen, beside the space of the picture. As the credits fade in and out, the picture's edges will slowly burn towards the center. Just as the credits finish, the picture would have finish burning as well. The scene will then transition to a blank screen with the word END, then return to the game title screen.

Game Title Screen
Something like this. The entire right side on the screen will be taken up by a screen shot of a scene in the game. This screen shot will be of the toilet with blood splatters and a dead body. The lights will continue to flicker, turn on and off on occasions. This is the create a horror genre feel to the game, and also to give the players some expectations to the game play. There will be 2 buttons in the middle of the left side of the screen. These two buttons will be Play and Options. But I might just remove the options button.

So what do you think guys? Any advice would be very welcomed.

Your hyper game designer,
Chris~
